Consultation
An hour of analysis beats an application filed in the wrong category. The legal consultation is led by an authorized lawyer, a member of the Barreau du Québec. PremiereMinistar then prepares your file with you, under their supervision.
How a consultation works
- 1. You describe your situation — the form below, 3 minutes.
- 2. We propose time slots — by email, within 1–2 business days.
- 3. The meeting — in person in Montréal or remote, 45 to 60 minutes with the authorized lawyer.
- 4. You leave with a plan — the strongest path for your case, the full document list and the deadlines that matter.
Types of consultation
Work permits
Employer-specific permits, open permits, spousal permits, post-graduation permits. We first check which path actually applies to your situation.
Study permits
Initial application, extension, change of school or program, and the CAQ for studying in Québec.
PEQ and Québec programs
Graduate stream, worker stream, Québec selection certificate. We assess your eligibility before you spend anything.
Permanent residence
Express Entry, family sponsorship and provincial programs, in collaboration with the mandated firm.

That is a perfectly valid answer — and often the most honest one. Describe your situation and we will tell you which consultation fits your case.
Fees
Professional fees are billed by the mandated firm and covered by a written agreement before the mandate begins. They are separate from government fees — set by IRCC and the Québec ministry — as well as from disbursements such as translation, biometrics or the medical exam. The exact amount is given to you in writing before you commit to anything.
Before you book
If possible, have ready: your current status, your permit’s expiry date, and the details of any previous refusal. A hidden refusal does more damage than an explained one — mention it in your first message. It changes the strategy, not our willingness to help.
